iPhone 8 and newer, iPad, iOS 14+

Downloading Facebook videos on iPhone used to be complicated, but with iOS updates and our web-based downloader, it's now easier than ever. This guide shows you exactly how to save any public Facebook video directly to your iPhone's camera roll or Files app.

Why Use Our Web-Based Downloader?

Unlike third-party apps that may compromise your privacy or get removed from the App Store, our web-based solution:

  • No app installation required - works directly in Safari
  • No account needed - completely anonymous
  • Free forever - no subscriptions or hidden fees
  • Always available - can't be removed from the App Store

Step-by-Step Guide for iPhone

1

Find the Video on Facebook

Open the Facebook app on your iPhone. Browse to find the video you want to download. Make sure it's a public video (private videos cannot be downloaded).

2

Copy the Video Link

Tap the three dots (...) in the top right corner of the video post. From the menu, select "Copy Link" or "Copy link to post".

Tip: If you're watching a video in full screen, exit full screen first to see the menu options.
3

Open Safari Browser

Open Safari (the default iOS browser - this is important!). Navigate to:

facebookvideodownloader.win
Important: Use Safari, not Chrome or other browsers. Safari has better download support on iOS.
4

Paste Link and Download

Tap the input field and paste your copied link (tap and hold, then select "Paste"). Tap the Download button. Wait for the video to be processed.

5

Save the Video

When the download options appear, choose your preferred quality (HD or SD). Then:

  1. Tap and hold the download button
  2. Select "Download Linked File" from the popup menu
  3. The video will download to your Files app
6

Find Your Video

Open the Files app on your iPhone. Navigate to the Downloads folder. Your video will be there!

Pro Tip: To save to Camera Roll, open the video in Files, tap the Share button, and select "Save Video".

Troubleshooting Common Issues

"Download Linked File" Option Not Appearing

Make sure you're using Safari, not Chrome or Firefox. Also ensure you're on iOS 13 or later. Try updating your iPhone if the option doesn't appear.

Video Won't Play After Download

Some videos may be in formats that require conversion. Try downloading in SD quality instead of HD, which uses more compatible formats.

Can't Find the Downloaded Video

Check the Downloads folder in the Files app. You can also check Safari's download manager by tapping the "aA" icon in the address bar and selecting "Downloads".

Alternative Method: Screen Recording

If the above method doesn't work for a specific video, you can use iOS's built-in screen recording:

  1. Open Control Center (swipe down from top-right on iPhone X or later)
  2. Tap the Screen Recording button
  3. Play the Facebook video in full screen
  4. Stop recording when done
  5. Find the recording in your Photos app

Note: Screen recording captures at your screen's resolution and may include audio from your surroundings.
